This Privacy Policy explains how The Chocolate Pecan LLC, doing business as Bragg Pecans (“Bragg Pecans,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you visit texaspecans.com or place an order with us.
Information we collect
When you place an order, we collect the information needed to process and ship it: your name, email address, phone number, billing address, and the shipping address or addresses you provide. If you send gifts to multiple recipients, we store the recipient names and addresses you enter so you can reuse them on future orders.
When you browse the site, our web server and security tools automatically record technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit. We use this to keep the site running and to detect fraudulent or automated activity.
We do not store your card number
Payment card details are entered into a secure form provided by our payment processor, Authorize.net, and are transmitted directly to them. Your full card number is never stored on our servers, and we do not save cards for future use. We receive only a confirmation of approval, the card brand, and the last four digits, which we keep as part of your order record.
How we use your information
We use your information to process, fulfill, and deliver your orders; to contact you about an order; to handle returns, damage claims, or questions; to keep records required for accounting and tax purposes; and to prevent fraud and abuse of our website.
We do not send marketing email or newsletters.
Who we share it with
We share only what is necessary, and we do not sell your personal information.
- Payment processing: Authorize.net, to authorize and process your payment.
- Shipping: USPS and UPS, and our shipping software provider, receive the recipient’s name, address, and phone number so your order can be delivered.
- Website and security services: our web host, and Cloudflare, whose Turnstile service checks whether visitors are human in order to block automated fraud.
- Legal: where we are required to by law, or to protect our rights.
Analytics and advertising
We do not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or third-party tracking on this website.
Cookies
Our site uses cookies that are necessary for it to work, such as keeping items in your cart and keeping you signed in during checkout. You can block cookies in your browser, but the shopping cart and checkout will not function if you do.
Security
We use encrypted (HTTPS) connections throughout the site, keep our software updated, and restrict access to order information to the people who need it to run the business. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Your choices
You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We may need to retain certain order records for tax and accounting purposes. To make a request, email sales@texaspecans.com.
Children
Our site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
